For the second consecutive year, students of the Postgraduate Course in Illustration at the School of Arts of the Autonomous University of Lisbon will participate in the ILUSTRA HACKATHON 2025. This is an initiative that challenges the creation of an original illustration, to be displayed in a collective exhibition integrated in the Festival do Creativity Club of Portugal.
With the presence of around 50 illustrators, the event aims to reflect the quality and relevance of contemporary Portuguese editorial illustration by promoting young emerging talents. This year, in its 13th edition, the same format as previous years will be maintained, which will be in the form of a Hackathon.
The participants will be exclusively Illustration students from various educational institutions in Portugal, namely the School of Arts, who will meet in person to illustrate the theme of this year's festival: "Is there anyone out there?". As put forward by the Clube da Criatividade de Portugal, the theme raises a set of questions about the role of humans in the future regarding creative production and cultural consumption.
The event will take place on May 19th, at Fábrica de Pão in the Beato Innovation District, as part of the 27th CCP Festival 2025.
