Cinema Círculo aims to showcase works, formats and geographies that are underrepresented in the current distribution system and cinemas in Lisbon. A cinema that, for one reason or another, finds itself on the margins, without space, outside of a commercial logic that does not aim for profit, but that seeks reflection, debate and critical thinking.

Cinema Círculo will dedicate its first session to the filmography of Michel Giacometti, on the 29th of June, at the premises of the Escola das Artes – Autónoma. The event starts at 11am and will last a total of 7h30. Entry is free, free and at any time.

Michel Giacometti's work is marked by the depth and time he dedicated to each of the communities he recorded, from north to south of Portugal. Watching these films in full allows us to delve into the extent and cultural richness of this ethnographic work. A panoramic view – and listening – of what are the ancestral and diverse cultural roots of Portugal.
